PROWEIN RETURNS TO INDIA WITH EDUCATIONAL CAMPAIGN IN SEPTEMBER
By Siulan Law Mathews DipWSET
World’s leading wine and spirits trade show organiser ProWein will launch its second education campaign in India during the second edition of Food & Hotel India (FHIN) exhibition to be held in Bombay in September this year.
Entitled “Made by ProWein”, the education campaign will be presented in association the Wine and Spirit Education Trust and “All Things Nice”, which is a leading marketing and consulting agency for wines and spirits in India.
The first “Made by ProWein” series was held during last year’s inaugural edition of FHIN. This year’s second series will be held from 18 to 20 September at the Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre.
The second series will offer FHIN visitors opportunities to attend tastings, workshops, discussion forums and presentations on wines and spirits.
Organisers have planned exciting events revolving around sensory and aromatic themes as well as wine & culinary offers.
Director of ProWein and Global head of wine & spirits, Bastian Mingers, said: “A very attractive sales market is currently emerging in India. Especially at this stage the market needs plenty of orientation.
“The avid interest in the ProWein Education Campaign 2018 has demonstrated that we are on the right track here with our partners WSET and All Things Nice and delivering the right content. The good response has encouraged us to look to the future and drive the project further.”
FHIN is organised by UBM, one of the world’s biggest trade fair organisers, which acts as a cooperation partner for ProWein in the Asian region.
The first edition of FHIN in September 2018 was attended by some 70 exhibitors and 5,000 trade visitors.
