Macau casino resort, The Londoner Macao, will open its first phase on 8 February featuring a gastropub by three-starred celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay while following phases will feature hotel suites designed by football star David Beckham.

According to Sands China, the project’s operator, the first phase will include restaurants and pubs, the Londoner Hotel, Crystal Palace atrium and The Venue where several interactive London-themed attractions are showcased.

Among the wine and dine venues to be opened is Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill, an authentic British gastropub with an attractive bar and lounge.

On top of a typical British menu - including Ramsay’s signature beef wellington, shepherd's pie, ale-battered fish and chips - an array of draught beers and cocktails will also be served.

There is also the St. Regis Bar, also a British gastropub serving enhanced cocktail and dining offerings as well as royal standard afternoon teas.

Churchill's Table is inspired by a classic Victorian food hall. It offers an international breakfast, all-day Mediterranean lunch and dinner, themed signature afternoon tea, entertaining evening dessert and cocktail experiences.

The Mews is a converted mew house where guests can enjoy the bar's unique farrier-themed environment and extensive drinks menu, before experiencing the restaurant's Thai cuisine.

The Mews and Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill will open later in 2021.

The following phases will see the opening of Suites by David Beckham, an additional accommodation within the hotel, as well as Londoner Court, a luxury hotel addition.

Previously known as Sands Cotai Central, the revamped project - reportedly cost close to USD1.9bn - follows the themes of the Parisian and the Venetian resorts operated by Sands China on Cotai Island of Macau.

The launch of the first phase coincides with the Chinese New Year, which will be on 12 February. The Chinese New Year holiday period in China will be from 11 to 17 February, but guests can now book rooms in the Londoner Hotel from 22 January.
