Preparation for 67 Pall Mall’s outpost in Melbourne is in full swing, application to become a member is already open with pre-opening concession rate starts from AUD2,300 (USD1,503) annually.

Normal membership fee is AUD3500 per person, interested parties can book to attend off-site tastings and events as well as a private tour before the official opening scheduled at mid-2025.

The Melbourne outpost will be the club’s sixth site after London, Singapore, Verbier, Bordeaux and Beaune, and will host one of Australia’s largest collections of wines and spirits with 5000 labels.

The club will be located at the three uppermost levels of 85 Spring Street. Upon entry on level 14, there will be a stunning 270-degree views and a luxe maze of drinking and meeting spaces, plus an all-day restaurant for dining.

There will also be a 7.5-metre wine cellar across two floors, affectionately referred to as the “wine wave”, around 1,000 of the collection will be available by the glass.

The 16th floor will feature a range of top Champagne wines with a sophisticated raw menu to pair with them.

There will also be a well-stocked whisky bar for rare spirits, while open-air balconies will afford relaxing vistas of the Treasury and Fitzroy Gardens and beyond.

Australian Master of Wine Richard Hemming will run the wine program, and is in the process of building a talented sommelier team to recommend and advise members on their selections.

“67 Pall Mall was born from passion and brought into existence by wine lovers, for wine lovers,” said founder and CEO Grant Ashton.

“Melbourne was chosen above all other cities as our first outpost in Australia due to its close connection to independent and outstanding wine producers, allowing us to engage with a passionate wine culture and a knowledgeable collector community.”

Additional membership benefits will include access to the club’s wine storage facilities and an exciting events program featuring masterclasses, food-pairing events, live music and more.
