Singapore Airlines will become the world’s only airline to serve the iconic Cristal 2015 champagne, following an exclusive agreement with leading French champagne house Louis Roederer.
Cristal 2015, which is well regarded for its refined taste, will be served in the airline’s Airbus A380 Suites and Boeing 777-300ER First Class cabins from 1 December 2024.
Initially available on flights between Singapore and Delhi, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Paris, Shanghai, Sydney and Tokyo, the offering will rotate to other Suites and First Class routes on a three-month basis.
Crafted by cellar master Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon, Cristal 2015 blends 40 percent Chardonnay and 60 percent Pinot Noir, sourced from 45 vineyard plots across Louis Roederer’s seven Grands Crus.
“This partnership demonstrates Singapore Airlines’ commitment to elevating the travel experience for our discerning customers,” said Yeoh Phee Teik, the airline’s senior vice president customer experience.
“Cristal 2015 is a timeless champagne of supreme balance and measure, resonating with the chalkiness of its soils, bursting forth in a bracing, vertical effervescence, with an insistent, precise, and finely honed freshness. We are really delighted that it has been chosen to be served on board Singapore Airlines,” said Frédéric Rouzaud, CEO of Champagne Louis Roederer.
Singapore Airlines said Cristal 2015 will join its curated list of exquisite champagnes served in Suites and First Class, with up to three premium labels on each flight depending on the routes and seasons.
Headlining the selection will be either Cristal 2015 or Krug Grand Cuvée, depending on the route.
Suites and First Class customers will also enjoy the 2013 Taittinger Comtes de Champagne, 2015 Bollinger Grande Année, 2016 Pol Roger Blanc De Blancs, and the 2007 Blanc des Millenaires by Charles Heidsieck on rotation.
Also served across December 2024 will be Charles Heidsieck Blanc des Millénaires and Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Rose.
