PROWINE SINGAPORE WILL NOT RETURN UNTIL 2022

Organisers of ProWine Asia (Singapore) said the show will not return in 2021, the next edition of the exhibition will take place from 10 to 13 May in 2022 at the Singapore Expo.

The 2022 edition will be held concurrently with FHA-HoReCa, a Foodservice and Hospitality Event in Asia, organised by Informa Markets.

The organisers said the 2022 dates will give the wines and spirits industry more time to recover from the COVID-19 effects and be better prepared to seize new post pandemic opportunities.

ProWine Asia (Singapore) 2022 will be renamed ProWine Singapore, in line with the ProWein global portfolio of Messe Düsseldorf.

This year’s ProWine Asia show was originally planned on 31 March to 3 April in Singapore. It was rescheduled to 2 to 5 March 2021 because of COVID-19, but it is clear now that the Singapore show will not happen in 2021 at all.

Hong Kong is another host city of ProWine Asia shows. The next ProWine Asia (Hong Kong) exhibition is scheduled on 18 to 21 May 2021.

The new dates for the Singapore show will avoid the scenario where two ProWine Asia shows are to take place in the same year, assuming that the Hong Kong show managed to go ahead in May next year.

Meanwhile, Messe Düsseldorf announced earlier that it will not hold its flagship ProWein Düsseldorf show in 2021. The next ProWein Düsseldorf exhibition will be held from 27 to 29 March 2022.
