China's Ministry of Commerce issued a statement today to announce that it will impose anti-dumping measures on some Australian wine imports from 28 March for five years.

Today's announcement is the final verdict to the anti-dumping and anti-subsidies investigations launched by China in August last year.

Importers bringing in wines related to the anti-dumping activities ruled by China will need to pay tax to China's customs authority, according to the statement. Tax rates will range from 116.2% to 218.4% and will become effective from Sunday.

The Ministry of Commerce announced a preliminary ruling on 27 November, temporary anti-dumping duties ranging from 107.1% to 212.1% had been imposed on Australia wine imports since then.
