THE BUSIEST EVER CHINA FOOD & DRINKS FAIR OPENED IN CHENGDU

The 108th edition of China Food and Drinks Fair (CFDF), which is the largest wine and spirits trade show in China, opened yesterday in Chengdu with 6,517 exhibitors participating, the highest ever in the show’s history.

Returning to to full physical format after three years of COVID hiatus, this year’s exhibition area spans ​​over 320,000 sqm and is also the biggest ever.

The 6,517 exhibitors include both domestic and foreign food and alcohol companies from 42 countries and regions, each of them showcased their products in ten major exhibition areas and 17 special areas.

The organiser expected the total number of visitors during the three days of exhibition to exceed 300,000, which will also the highest ever.

In fact, this year’s CFDF is so popular that reports said exhibitors and visitors found it extremely difficult to secure in a hotel room in Chengdu during the exhibition days.

Chen Lang, vice president of COFCO Group which organises the show, said this year’s CFDF aim at helping to activate market consumption by boosting industry confidence and promoting industrial innovation.

Co-organised by Chengdu municipal government, the show will also provide a platform for the trade to explore food and drinks trends through the nearly one hundred forums organised alongside the exhibition.
