South Korean drinks giant HiteJinro announced that it will debut four more labels of Japanese whisky brand Fuji in South Korea, after having launched two Fuji labels last year.

The labels being launched this time are "Fuji Blended," "Fuji Single Blended," "Fuji Single Grain," and "Fuji Single Malt 17 Years."

Together with "Fuji Sanroku Signature Blend" and "Fuji Single Malt Whiskey" launched last year, HiteJinro has launched a total of six Fuji labels in South Korea.

The Gotemba distillery, which produces the Fuji series, is part of the Kirin Group in Japan.

Located in the forests of Mount Fuji, it uses clear and soft water that has undergone a long natural purification process.

The distillery made malt whiskies and grain whiskies in both the Scotch and north American styles.

The “Fuji Blended” is a limited edition aimed at the European and American markets. It is described as having fruity aromas such as European pear, sweet flavours of red fruits, and a refreshing note of wood.

“Fuji Single Blended” is a daily whisky that satisfies from beginners to enthusiasts, featuring soft and delicate honey like sweetness with aromas of peach, apricot and orange.

“Fuji Single Grain” is a product that harmonises rich fruity aromas and subtle spiciness from three different grain whiskies. It is characterised by sweet aromas reminiscent of raspberry, orange marmalade and pound cake.

“Fuji Single Malt 17 Years” is regarded as a masterpiece representing the malt whisky of the Gotemba distillery.

It is aimed at whisky enthusiasts who value delicate flavours and depth, and only 57 bottles will be sold in South Korea.

It features sweet aromas of European pear, quince, and white flowers along with complex oak flavours that include maple and brown sugar.

The newly launched products are expected to be distributed mainly through major whisky bars nationwide.
