One of South Korea’s leading wine distributors, Ayoung FBC, has opened "The Pairing" at Lotte's Avenuel Jamsil branch in Seoul with more than 1,000 labels of wines for consumers to choose from.

According to Ayoung FBC, The Pairing is the largest wine store in South Korea, and it is also a gourmet space where customers can enjoy food prepared by experienced chefs and wines recommended by seasoned sommelier at the same time.

To mark the opening of the store, the company offered the champagne "Palmer Brue Reserve" as a welcome drink upon arrival of guests.

In addition, the company has offered a 30 percent discount to wines from five major chateaux such as "Chateau Margot" and "Chateau Latour" and ultra-high-priced champagne such as "Piper High Rare".

The company said they will run a service called Today's Pairing curated by their professional sommeliers who specialise in recommending wine that matches the dishes on the menu.

The company added that The Pairing is structured in a way that their customers can always find a glass of matching wine for a plate of food they ordered.
