Changi Airport Group’s annual World of Wines & Spirits (WOWS) returns with its 2025 edition featuring a multi-sensory showcase of 63 rarities from 29 storied labels, complete with Michelin-starred pairings, immersive installations and headline bottles.

Dubbed “Wonders Reimagined” and co-organised with Lotte Duty Free, this year’s event was staged at Changi Axis in Terminal 2, the gala welcomed over 600 guests for two evenings of immersive storytelling that celebrated provenance, craft and collectability.

The Michelin-starred restaurant Nouri helmed the live station, pairing inventive bites to accentuate the flavour profiles poured across the night.

This year’s curation spanned 63 coveted labels from 29 brands. Highlights ranged from the Johnnie Walker Vault Couture Expression, a haute-couture collaboration between Master Blender Dr Emma Walker and Olivier Rousteing, to Martell’s L’Or de Jean Martell Zodiac Edition–Assemblage du Cheval, a 2026 pre-release that’s limited to just 750 bottles worldwide.

Fine and rare Scotch was represented in force by The Macallan, including the Fine & Rare 1965 and the Red Collection 71, 74, and 78-Years Old.

Among bottles transacted during the gala: The Macallan Red Collection 40 Years Old (SGD25,000/USD19,243), Martell L’Or Zodiac–Assemblage du Cheval (SGD14,500), and sets from Yamazaki and Bowmore that underlined the night’s appetite for top-tier Japanese and Islay expressions.

The experience unfolded through five sensorial zones–Japanese and European “Highland Wonders”, “Cognac Landscapes”, “Flavours in Bloom” for wines and champagnes, and “Echoes of Rarity” for unicorn spirits–each designed to translate terroir, time and technique into sight, sound, and scent.

Live performances, masterclasses by Johnnie Walker and The Macallan, and private previews rounded out a programme that continues to raise the bar for luxury travel retail.

Select releases remain available via WOWS, with extra perks for Mastercard users (a minimum spend of SGD5,000 comes with Christofle crystal flutes) and concierge support for reservations.

For collectors, it was a proof-of-concept; that world-class bottles, presented with theatre and thoughtfulness, can turn an airport into a destination for connoisseurship.
