Vinexpo Mumbai 2025, scheduled to be opened on 3 to 4 October at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, has now been cancelled.
The organiser, Vinexposium of France, said the decision is not an easy one reached after careful consideration of the situation and in consultation with local partners.
The decision caused a lot of inconvenience to exhibitors and visitors who have booked air tickets and hotels ahead of the exhibition.
“Despite the keen interest expressed by many industry players, the conditions were simply not right to deliver an event that would meet the high expectations of our exhibitors and visitors,” Vinexposium said in a statement on their website.
“Our priority remains to create events that genuinely support business development and foster meaningful connections across the global wine and spirits industry.”
“Vinexposium sincerely thanks all partners and stakeholders for their continued trust and interest. We look forward with confidence to future opportunities to work together and create successful new projects in India.” the statement said.
The company said they are now focusing their energy on upcoming flagship gatherings—Wine Paris, Vinexpo Asia, Vinexpo Americas, WBWE—as well as on promising new initiatives in preparation.
Co-organised with Vinexposium’s local partner, InterAds Exhibitors, this year’s edition also includes the India Wines and Spirits Awards (IWSA), presented by the Sonal Holland Academy and held at Vinexpo Mumbai on 3 October.
