Big Wine Freaks, one of Singapore's most popular party-dining wine bars, has launched the Media Wine Club for the city state’s media professionals and opinion leaders.

The company said this new series of wine dinners is a refreshing way to learn about wine beyond textbooks and technical jargon. It sees wine as a living culture that fuels conversations, inspires innovation, and fosters long-term relationships.

"Our goal is to create a space where media professionals and opinion leaders can taste wine and discover a new sense of community," said Meng, Head Sommelier at Big Wine Freaks.

"It's about connecting and conversing, not lectures. That's why we established the Media Wine Club: a place where professionals can meet wines, the winemakers who make them, and each other, and leave with both knowledge and inspiration."

Each wine dinner is held in a community setting to promote networking and engagement. Guests will experience five carefully chosen wines matched with a specially crafted menu by Chef Lim Wei Kiat, who draws on the Big Wine Freaks repertory while also inventing seasonal delicacies for each session.

The programme runs monthly until the end of the year, with each episode focussing on a different wine theme:

25 September - French Bubbles: From Crémant and sparkling wines to Champagne, a trip through five distinct forms of fizz.

23 October - The Different Side of Australia: Pét-nat, Chardonnay, Cabernet, and Shiraz reinvented to defy conventional wisdom.

13 November - Sauvignon Blanc Around the World: Discover how terroir influences the different aromas of this global favourite.

11 December - Wines of Japan: Meet the intriguing new-generation winemakers leading Asia's most talked-about wine scene.

Each session pairs carefully selected wines with culinary highlights, allowing guests to taste stories behind each creation and experience flavours from around the world—all without leaving Singapore.

Participation is limited to reservations, ensuring that attendees have an intimate and focused experience.

Media professionals and opinion leaders are encouraged to register their interest, specify preferred dates, and confirm the number of participants to join this growing community of wine-loving peers.
