Singapore Changi Airport’s new duty free operator Lotte Duty Free (LDF) is offering 7 percent discount on its e-commerce platform iShopChangi.com to mark the start of its operation.
The South Korean duty free operator has taken over Changi Airport’s duty free concession from the DFS Group on 9 June, but the physical shops are currently not open because of the COVID-19 quarantine measures.
To celebrate the start of its operations, LDF is offering a 7 percent discount on some products online from June 12 to 30, on top of tax- and duty-absorbed prices.
Shoppers will also receive a 5 percent discount voucher for their next in-store purchase.
LDF's range of products include limited edition whiskies and cognacs, some with exclusive labels only available at Changi Airport, a collection of Asian spirits featuring brands from Singapore and South Korea, as well as alcohol-free options.
Renovation works for the shop space will begin once Singapore's COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
It is said that the design will feature "innovative in-store technologies" integrating "elements of nature" inspired by the airport's gardens.
There will also be a high-tech tasting bar and immersive experience zones dedicated to whisky, cognac, gin and wine.
